A week in that hospital, I was surprised neither of us lost the plot. But you have no idea how happy I was, driving her home in the car. A pacemaker fitted and eager to get back to work, Mysti laughed "I bet the house is a tip!" I chucked at myself. "Not really... Much... Ill help clean up"
Cleaning done, we have the day ahead. I wanted to take her to her favourite place. The ice ring. Mysti bubbled with excitement as we pulled up outside the ring and went in, taking seats in the cold room next to the ice, with hot chocolates in front of us.
I think back to yesterday, Face to face with Mysti's father as I pleaded my case.
"I admire you, Mason, For asking permission."
"I know it would mean a lot to Mysti.. and myself. Please, Sir, I love your daughter.. And I want to make her happy for the rest of our lives."
Finally, The man nodded. "You have my permission."
I stared at Mysti as she watched the ice skaters, Unable to take in simply how beautiful she is.
"M-Mysti.." I finally said. She looked at me and smiled softly.
"... Ive been thinking..."
"Yes us." I pause, taking her hands in my hands. "You... Me... And Mati." Mysti looked at me in curiosity. "I love you Mysti."
"I love you too, Mason."
"I want us to be a family..."
"We will be.."
"No.. A real family..." I stand, taking the little blue box from my back pocket, and getting down on one knee, presenting her the silver ring with the sparkling heart shaped diamond encrusted into it. "I want you to be my wife, Mysti. Will you Marry me?"
